 Frequently Asked Questions
- What are the health benefits to visiting a day spa?
In today's world we are all over-worked and stressed out. By coming to our spa in Vancouver, BC you will leave feeling rejuvenated and relaxed. A great experience for the mind, body and soul.
- Your Vancouver spa offers so many services, how do I know which one to choose?
It is all about personal preference. Some people really enjoy massage, while others would rather have a manicure. We do have spa packages available so you can try a little bit of everything!
- Should I bring anything with me?
If you are having a pedicure, please bring loose fitting open-toe sandals that you can easily slip your feet into. If you are having a body wrap, bringing a hair dryer, mini shampoo and conditioner is a good idea in case you need to shower and leave.
- What should I wear? Do I have to take all my clothes off?
We provide wraps and robes for use during services. Most services you either remain in your regular clothing or in a wrap and robe. For massage, you undress to your comfort level, and are covered by a sheet for your privacy.
- How do I purchase a gift certificate for your spa in Vancouver?
You can either come into the spa, or order a Gift Certificate by phone. For phone orders, you need to provide us with a credit card number, type and expiry date.
- Where can I park?
If there is no parking available outside the spa, you can park around the perimeter of Victoria Park which is one block down on Grant Street.
- Do you allow groups to make reservations at your Vancouver spa?
Yes, group bookings are our specialty! Please see our The Spa Cottage - Group Bookings Policies for more details.
- Are reservations necessary?
We welcome walk-in clients, but to avoid disappointment, we recommend that you book ahead, especially on Friday and Saturday or if there is more than one person.
- What is your cancellation policy?
Our Vancouver spa has a 24 hour change or cancellation policy.
- Should I take any special precautions?
Yes, if you are pregnant, have a medical condition, or are taking medication, please let your esthetician know.
- When should I arrive for my appointment?
Please arrive 15 minutes before your appointment. This will allow adequate time to fill out an intake form if it is your first visit here, relax and unwind in our sitting room. Arriving late for your scheduled service will deprive you of valuable treatment time. Also please leave your valuables at home as we cannot be responsible for their safety.
- What about gratuities?
In appreciation for great service gratuities may be offered. Gift Certificates do not include gratuities.
