Helpful Hints on Throwing a Perfect Spa Party:

Over the years, Flaming June Day Spa in Vancouver has hosted numerous spa parties: from bridal parties, bridal showers and stagettes to birthday celebrations, family reunions and anniversaries. We have also hosted many corporate and office parties, as well as Christmas parties.

To help you plan your spa party better, here are some helpful hints:

Confirm your group members' availability: this can be the hardest part for the organizer, especially if your group members all have different schedules. You may choose to send out invitations by mail or e-mail and ask people to RSVP. E-vite is an easy and free way to send out colourful e-mail invitations to everyone with all your party details. Everyone who receives the invitation will be able to RSVP directly in the E-vite and let you know whether they will be able to attend or not

Book the Spa Cottage in advance. Once you confirm everyone's availability, it is time to call the spa and make your reservation. You can reserve our stand-alone private Spa Cottage for your party at no extra charge. Please call to make your reservation 4 weeks in advance to make sure the Spa Cottage is available.
Choose your spa treatments and provide the day spa with a list of guest names. VIP pricing is offered for all spa party bookings for all services. You will need to pre-pay the services three weeks in advance, which also guarantees your Spa Cottage reservation. When you make your payment, you only pre-pay the services and not gratuities. Gratuities can be paid after your party.
To maximize your quality time with your group, we recommend that you don't all get facials because you won't be able to see everybody. What works best is spa packages like End of the Week Reward. Also manicures and pedicures. If you want to have a body wrap or a facial, you will need to go into a separate treatment room, as opposed to being in the big main room in the Cottage with everybody else. If everyone goes to separate rooms, it's not a party anymore.
Music: Decide if you want to bring your own music. You are welcome to bring your own music CD's. Something soft, easy listening is recommended for a relaxing environment.
Spa Food: Decide if you want to bring your own snacks. Our day spa can supply the fridge, wine glasses and a cork screw, but you will need to bring your own snacks, cutlery and plates. If you want to bring your own food, please make sure that it's ready to go, no on-site prepping please. Finger foods are recommended as opposed to complete meals. We suggest that you don't get anything that has an overpowering smell to make sure that everyone in your group can enjoy the party. Fruit and veggie trays are perfect spa food. You can buy party platters at your local grocery stores or order delivery. You can also bring a beverage of your choice.
Decorations: Decide if you want to decorate the Spa Cottage. You can arrive early and decorate the Spa Cottage for your party, as long as there isn't another group ahead of you. Please call our day spa to find out. Depending on availability, you can come an hour early and put up your decorations. You can find lots of inexpensive decorations for birthdays, bridal showers, anniversaries, Christmas etc. at local dollar stores.
Arrive early: All group members should arrive 15 minutes early. When group members arrive late, there isn't enough time for their services.
After your services: You can stay in the Spa Cottage for up to half an hour after your services are finished, to allow time for your nail polish to dry.
Gratuities: If you are satisfied with your service, when you leave the cottage, you can go up to the main spa and leave a gratuity for your esthetician.
If you're getting pedicures, please remember to wear sandals.
